VMW Taxand, the Taxand firm in the Netherlands, continues to recruit experienced tax lawyers. In recent months Iman Damste, Angelo Spadaro and Frank Gommers joined the team. William Guy will join as of November 1, 2010.
Iman Damste led the Dutch Price Waterhouse tax and legal practice from 1994 to 1998. After the 1998 merger with Coopers he was a member of the PwC Management Board in the Netherlands. He joins VMW Taxand as of counsel. His practice areas are international tax structuring for Global and Dutch MNC’s. With his track record he is a natural sparring partner for MNC's for tax strategic and tax risk management type of issues.
Angelo Spadaro and William Guy will strengthen the tax compliance team of VMW Taxand. Angelo Spadaro joined VMW Taxand after having worked as senior tax compliance manager at Baker & McKenzie in Amsterdam for more than 8 years. William Guy joins VMW Taxand from TNT, the global mail and express delivery company, where Guy was the tax compliance manager.
Frank Gommers will join the VAT/Customs department. He has worked for the Dutch customs authorities, Arthur Andersen, Deloitte and at his own practise. Frank has a broad experience in advising clients on customs issues. VMW Taxand has also recruited 4 new recruits from University and will grow to at least 30 tax lawyers at the end of this year.
