Taxand has been voted ‘European Indirect Tax Firm of the Year 2011’ for the second year running and ‘European Tax Policy Firm of the Year’ by International Tax Review at its annual European Tax Awards in London on 18th May.
Furthermore, Taxand has won four ‘National Tax Firm of the Year’ awards in Cyprus, Portugal, Spain and Turkey. Taxand Belgium has also been awarded ‘Best Newcomer’ and Taxand Poland won Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year. Taxand was nominated for 29 awards in total. Frédéric Donnedieu de Vabres, Chairman of Taxand commented: “Each year brings more awards for Taxand, regionally and nationally. Being shortlisted for just under half of the 69 awards this year clearly demonstrates Taxand’s ongoing market recognition for cross-border tax advice and winning eight of those really is testament to our drive for continuous client service excellence. Our year-on-year performance at these awards is indicative of our market penetration and the reputation we have formed over the last six years.” Richard Baxter, Taxand Global Indirect Tax Service line leader said: “Taxand has worked on some groundbreaking international VAT and customs projects over the last year. We have delivered what our clients needed by being obsessively practical in approach and combining our traditional high-end strategic indirect tax capabilities with strong interim management and technology skills. It’s a particular pleasure to win this award for the second year running and is indicative of how strong the Taxand global indirect tax service line team has become.” “Our ‘European Tax Policy Firm of the Year’ award win acknowledges Taxand’s EC & OECD programme which is designed to influence policy change for the benefit of our clients. Our commitment to provide Taxand global responses to consultations and Taxander time on advisory panels has been recognised by this award,” said Frédéric Donnedieu de Vabres, Chairman of Taxand.
