Ayolt read law and completed his degree in Dutch Tax Law focusing on direct taxes and criminal tax law at the University of Leiden, the Netherlands. Ayolt graduated in 1995 and from 1995 until 1999 he conducted his practice as a tax lawyer with KPMG Meijburg & Co in Amsterdam. In 1999 he continued his practice as advocate with the law firm Steins Bisschop Meijburg & Co, affiliated with KPMG. He joined VMW Taxand (Van Mens & Wisselink at that time) in mid 2002 to become partner in 2005.

Ayolt works nationally and internationally in Corporate Law focusing on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholders/investment agreements and commercial contracts. He also litigates on a regular basis.

Ayolt is currently a board member of Globalaw, a non- exclusive worldwide network of approximately 100 independent law firms, comprising almost 5,000 lawyers located in more than 170 cities around the globe. Its central purpose is to provide the clients of its members with an international legal resource. VMW Taxand is the Dutch member of Globalaw.
